Welcome to the Capital One Canada Learning Hub

Many of us have faced challenging times financially. While that can feel like a frustrating and scary fact of life, it doesn’t have to be that way.

That’s why Capital One Canada has created an online Learning Hub to help Canadians improve financial literacy, manage their money and set goals on their path to financial well-being.

Here’s what you can expect

The Learning Hub will feature a series of short and digestible articles. Each one will break down a specific financial topic and provide tips and key takeaways to adopt as new money habits in your everyday life.

Key takeaways: How to set yourself up for financial success

As you get started on this journey, think about incorporating the tips below to keep yourself motivated and on track towards your goals. Here are some ways to start:

  • Find an Accountability Buddy. Choose someone in your life to hold you accountable on your financial well-being journey. Meet with them on a regular basis to reflect on your accomplishments, insights and challenges as you work your way through the Learning Hub. A buddy is a way to give yourself a support system to lean on, confide in, and ultimately, help you succeed.

  • Think about your goals for why you’re going through this Learning Hub and write them down! For example, “I want to reduce my debt” or “I want to increase my savings.” It’s important to have a clear set of goals for each article and review them as you learn more.

  • Finally, be honest with yourself. Being sincere with yourself and accepting where you are financially will help you take back control of your life, identify habits that no longer serve you, and help you build momentum to accomplish your goals.

Best of luck on your journey to financial well-being.

Words of encouragement: It starts here and that’s ok!

Stay focused on your goals and take it day by day. It sounds cliché but it’s true. There’s absolutely zero shame in owning where you are financially (no matter how scary) and leaning into it.
